LeBron Raymone James Sr. is an American professional basketball player that plays for the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. He is known as King James he is widely thought to be one of the best players of all time and has often been compared with Michael Jordan in debates over the greatest basketball player in history. James has the distinction of winning four NBA titles. He has four NBA MVPs. Four NBA Finals MVPs. Three All-Star MVPs. and two Olympic golds. James has the world record of the most number of points scored in the post-season, second best overall career score and 7th the most assists in his career. This is a record for the NBA for him to be an NBA All-Star for 18 years. The ten NBA Finals is the most ever. He has also won eight times in succession between the years 2011-2018. In 2018 he was also selected for The NBA 75th Anniversary team. In 2021 James was named to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team, and in 2022 he became the first athlete of NBA history to score at least 10,000 career points as well as assists and rebounds. James was a basketball player for St. Vincent St. Mary High School in Akron Ohio. The national press praised James as an NBA star. As a prep-to-pro player, he was picked to the Cleveland Cavaliers with the first top pick of 2003's NBA draft. After being named 2004 NBA Rookie Of The Year, he soon became a top player in the NBA and was awarded the NBA's MVP award both in 2009 and 2010 James, who failed to be crowned the champion in Cleveland, in the year 2010, left as a free agent and signed with his team the Miami Heat. This was revealed by the book The Decision. It is one of the most controversial decisions taken by a free agent in sports the history of sports.
