Kelly Clarkson, an American performer, songwriter and actress, who won the American Idol competition in its inaugural season, was a popular choice for the nation. She was not only a star after the win however, she also has signed a contract with RCA Records 19 Recordings & "S Records" for several albums. Since then, she's released several studio albums, three of which made the cut of the US Billboard 200' chart while the other albums narrowly failed to make the cut. She is one of the top artists who come out of this American Idol series. She experimented as she gained success with various themes and musical styles. She often composed her own music. The singer received critical acclaim as well as several prestigious awards due to her distinctiveness and singing skills. She has been awarded the Grammy Award 3 times. She also has been featured in movies and on television. She also co-wrote the kids' book River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and is involved with various charitable organizations.
